Happy Flag Day and Honor America Days

NATIONAL — While listening to President Donald J. Trump speak on June 6, 2023 at North Carolina, he mentioned a few interesting things. One thing he said he would hold a year long celebration to honor America. I’m not sure, but I think I recall that he said he would start in on July 4th. I guess that is as good a day as any. Though I still cringe when people say “July 4th” instead of the appropriate “Independence Day,” July 4th was not the true Independence Day. It was the date the proclamation was issued for a vote that was taken on July 2nd. Thus, July 2nd was the date that Independence was actually declared.
36 United States Code §110 designates June 14th as Flag Day. The law “requests” that the President issue a proclamation calling on “…United States Government officials to display the flag of the United States on all Government buildings…” The President is also supposed to urge “…the people of the United States to observe Flag Day as the anniversary of the adoption on June 14, 1777, by the Continental Congress of the Stars and Stripes as the official flag of the United States.” That is the flag that has thirteen red and white stripes with stars on a blue background. That is the ONLY flag that is supposed to be displayed and honored. Whether it be the current flag with fifty stars or thirteen, it should not matter. The so-called Betsy Ross flag was, of course, the original honoring the thirteen colonies.

Most people do not know, however, that there is an actual “Pride” month celebration during this period. 36 USC §112 designates the 21-day from Flag Day to Independence day as “…a period to honor America.” 36 USC §112 (b) is a declaration in which “…Congress declares that there be public gatherings and activities during that period at which the people of the United States can celebrate and honor their country in an appropriate way.” It is not “appropriate” to loot and burn. That is not appropriate at anytime no matter what the current “administration” says. Likewise, drag queen hour and grooming of children.

What we suggest is that you take the time to review history. One thing you can do is watch the mini-series John Adams. The Patriot is another good selection (not the 1928 version). There are others; pick your favorite. You might be able to find these movies on line for free or they might be available through one of your streaming subscriptions, such as Prime or Sling.

How about doing a little study? Check out The Federalist Papers. These are the arguments by John Jay, James Madison and the first corrupt official in our government, Alexander Hamilton. Hilldale college has a free course on the Federalist Papers. I strongly recommend No. 29

You might find some interesting things on the Archive.org web site. It is packed with Public Domain videos, audio books, old magazines. Even donated video and audio from around the country; e.g. “home movies.” You might want to listen to this selection.

We hope that what ever you do to celebrate will bring you to the conclusion that you should never show your total ignorance by wishing some one a “Happy Fourth of July.” You should reply to that greeting with “Happy Independence Day” without slapping them in the face though you are very tempted to do. There is a reason that the current government wants you to celebrate the date on the calendar rather than what it represents. Be a rebel. Go ahead and say Happy Independence day.

The flag of my Country.

What is today?

If one were to ask the average passersby what today is, they might take a hint from the flags lining the street. Oh, they might say. Today is Flag day, of course. June 14 is definitely Flag day (36 USC 110). The more learned might even say, Well it’s Flag week. Flag Week (36 USC 122) started on Sunday June 12 and will end on June 18. You will have to search far and wide to find anyone that can go much beyond that.

I hope that I have you questioning me in your mind. Just what the Sam Hill am I talking about.

Flag Day is June 14 and Flag Week is the week that contains Flag Day. There is, however, another holiday period “hidden” in this day. You certainly weren’t taught about it in school recently. I do not remember being taught about it in the 60s and 70s. It is a holiday period that – as far as my research can reveal – only one city in America acknowledges. That city is Rome, New York.

The 21-days from Flag Day to Independence Day (which is held on July 4) is Honor America Days (36 USC 112).

Now you might say to yourself, Of course THIS administration won’t recognize that. Yet, how many “Republican” administrations have transpired without any acknowledgment of this holiday?

Most do not know that September 17 is Constitution Day and the week of September 17 to September 23 is Constitution Week. Why? The proverbial “they” do not want you to know. There is no inclination from to so-called left or right to get you to honor America in anyway.

America has done some bad things. Slavery should have been abolished with the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The conservative Democrat slave owners of the South at the time were too powerful and important to the Revolution. After all, Virginia was the most important colony to the cause at the time. It even provided the commanding general and the first President under the Constitution – George Washington.

It is important to recognize our faults. In 1905 George Santayana expressed this in these words, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

We hope to lead you, during this period, to reading material that is important to you. We also recommend that you pull out your copy of (or find a copy to watch) the mini-series John Adams. If you have Tubi or one of the other video apps on your phone, tablet or television stick, you can find a myriad of videos on the American revolution and American history. Read a copy of the Constitution. Even skipping all of the mathematical formulas and boring detail, you can find all sorts of interesting stuff. For example that the Federal Government is supposed to ensure that each state has a Republican form of government (Constitution, Article IV; Section 4, Clause 1). Even Wikipedia got that right. Read the Federalist Papers. You do not have to read them all. Concentrate on those that interest you (HINT: Federalist Paper No. 29 should interest you). Read the anti-Federalist arguments If the schools are going to teach you nothing, learn on your own. You have that so-called “smart” phone, use it for something smart!

Happy HONOR AMERICA DAYS!

We are looking forward to the parades, band concerts, flags lining the streets and demonstrations that honor America for the 21-Day period of Honor America Days! We are just waiting for the City of Williams to post the schedule.

What? You’ve never heard of Honor America Days? Of course not. If you went through public schools in Arizona they did not tell you about Honor America Days, for some reason. 36 U.S. Code § 11 (an ACTUAL law written by Congress) designates the 21-days from Flag Day to Independence day is a period to honor America. “Congress declares that there be public gatherings and activities during that period at which the people of the United States can celebrate and honor their country in an appropriate way.”

Independence day is the day you probably call 4th of July because of the brainwashing you have received in school. Of course you probably don’t know independence was declared on July 2, but that’s another article.

Rome, New York the only city we’ve found that actually has an Honor America Days celebration. They have, unfortunately, fallen into the Plandemic trap the Cuomo set in New York. We also found the WriteShop web site that has writing suggestions for students for the Honor America Day celebration. WriteShop is a company that sells books on writing for young people. A South Dakota web site called Keloland has published a PDF called 21 Ways to Honor America.

You may find other Honor America Days information if you use a search engine. You certainly will not hear about this celebration of America from Washington D.C. Unless it has to do with any “bad” things the United States has done. The United States “government” has done bad things based on what ever it takes to get the people to vote for them. The recent plandemic is an example of that. Fortunately it is now going away because the mean tweeter is gone.

Before we started sending jobs to China and other countries, however, America brought newer and better technology to the world. America put the computer in your home that you are reading this on. American medicine, before Obamanationcare, extended the life of Americans and people around the world.

What the United States did give to the world is a government run by the people. “We the People…” are the government. Not the employees in Washington D.C. or Phoenix or where ever. This government was meant to be sovereign “States” bound together for a common cause. There was never any intention that the national government in Washington would control the individual States or control their lands. We the People let that happen.

What can you do at home to celebrate? How about reading a copy of the Declaration of Independence? How about making sure your children say Happy Independence Day instead of happy fourth of July. Study the Bill of Rights and the history of the Bill of Rights. Read Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution of the United States of America and see what limitations they have exceeded. Read a few of the Federalist Papers, especially Federalist Paper No. 29.

Happy Flag Day and Honor America Days

But let it be admitted, for argument’s sake, that mere wantonness and lust of domination would be sufficient to beget that disposition; still it may be safely affirmed, that the sense of the constituent body of the national representatives, or, in other words, the people of the several States, would control the indulgence of so extravagant an appetite. It will always be far more easy for the State governments to encroach upon the national authorities than for the national government to encroach upon the State authorities. The proof of this proposition turns upon the greater degree of influence which the State governments if they administer their affairs with uprightness and prudence, will generally possess over the people; a circumstance which at the same time teaches us that there is an inherent and intrinsic weakness in all federal constitutions; and that too much pains cannot be taken in their organization, to give them all the force which is compatible with the principles of liberty. — Alexander Hamilton, Federalist Paper No. 17

Happy Flag Day, Flag Week and Honor America Days? The Stars and Stripes line the streets of Williams, today, in honor of the event.

President Donald Trump issued the annual proclamation making June 14 flag day and this week Flag Week.

It happens to be President Trump’s birthday.

It also happens to be the beginning of Honor America Days. Honor America Days are a United States Federal Observance observed June 14 to July 4. According to 36 U.S.C. § 112, the 21 days from Flag Day through Independence Day is a period to honor the United States. On these days, U.S. Congress declares that there be public gatherings and activities during that period at which the people of the United States can celebrate and honor their country in an appropriate way.

If you have not heard about Honor America Days that is probably because the Department of Education forbids teaching Patriotic holidays. It does not show up on your calendar. It should, however.

There are a few who actually recognize the holidays. Rome, New York, for example, celebrates with a parade and a 5K Run.

Fort Stanwix honored one of their seasonal rangers who served in Afghanistan at their Honor America Days concert in 2007.

Of course kids can always think on their own. You can take time to read the Constitution of the United States of America. Take a look at the unalienable Bill of Rights. This link will take you to the Bill of Rights as originally written. There were twelve but only ten were approved. WARNING: Your eyes might be opened to how much of your liberty has been eroded. You can even read the Federalist Papers with particular emphasis on Federalist Paper No. 29.

You can read them on your iPad.

Happy Flag Day

729px-1885_History_of_US_flags_medHappy Flag Day! This is the day that Americans across the country post the United States flag. Streets are lined with old Glory. Americans started celebrating Flag Week on Sunday.

I forgot. In this day of political correct common core, they probably don’t teach this in school. Title 36 of the United States Code (PDF) covers all Patriotic Observances. Flag Day is covered in Section 110 of the code. The observance commemorates the adoption of the first United States flag on June 14, 1777. National Flag Week is covered under Section 122, of Title 36, and is the week in which June 14 occurs.

There is more. There is Honor America Days. This is covered in Section 112 of Title 36. Honor America Days is the 21-days from Flag Day until July 4 in which,

Congress declares that there be public gatherings and activities during that period at which the people of the United States can celebrate and honor their country in an appropriate way.

I can only find one city that has events celebrating Honor America Days, though they conduct their celebration a couple of weeks after. Rome, New York (Facebook) has an Honor America Days parade on July 30. Although they do have a Patriotic 5/10K run during the 21-day period.

Another little know fact is that Independence was declared on July 2, not July 4. The declaration was issued to the public two-days after the vote taken by Congress to be read and declared publicly. John Adams wrote to his wife Abigail on July 3,

The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.

Happy Honor America Days!

Title 36, United States Code, Section 112 (Public Law 105-225) declares this Honor America Days. The 21-days between Flag day and Independence Day are days in which:

Congress declares that there be public gatherings and activities during that period at which the people of the United States can celebrate and honor their country in an appropriate way.

President’s have simply mentioned in the Flag Day proclamations such as that by Barrack Obama on June 12.

Happy Flag Day

This week, which contains Flag Day, is also Flag Week. Most people are unaware of that fact. They are also unaware that the 21 days from Flag Day to Independence Day are Honor America days. To begin your celebration, we offer this video of the Star-Spangled Banner sung by the young group Daves Highway.
