March for Meals pancake breakfast Saturday.

WILLIAMS—The City of Williams, Coconino County and NACOG are sponsoring a March For Meals pancake breakfast from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 and the Williams Senior Center at 850 W. Grant next to Safeway.

The menu consists of pancakes, sausage or bacon, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and yogurt. Drinks include orange juice, coffee and tea.

The requested donations will benefit the Williams Senior nutrition program at the center. You can call 928-679-7485 for more information.

Williams Senior Center holiday dinner

WILLIAMS—The annual holiday dinner at the Williams Senior Center—850 W. Grant Avenue—will be held at 12 p.m. on December 7th. The event is sponsored by the Coconino County NACOG and the City of Williams.

Williams Independence Day parade takes over Route 66

WILLIAMS—Dark clouds cooled off the small City of Williams, but did not damper one of the best parades in a number of years. The American Legion Cordova Post #13 led the parade which included local groups, the 108th Army Band and—it must be an election year—politicians. Smokey made an appearance and the Williams Fire Department brought out their fire trucks.

The American Legion Cordova Post #13 carries the colors to begin the parade.

Williams Senior Center March for Meals pancake breakfast

WILLIAMS—The Williams Senior Center will be holding a March for Meals pancake breakfast this Saturday, March 10th from 9 am to 11 am. The Senior Center is at 850 W. Grant Street next to Safeway. Grant Street is one block down from Route 66.

The breakfast will consist of Pancakes, Hash Browns, Bacon, Sausage, Biscuits, Eggs and Yogurt, Orange juice, coffee and tea will also be served. Generous donations for the breakfast will be matched by the Meals on Wheels Association of America and benefit the Williams Senior Nutrition Program.

The Senior Center provides lunches in-house for seniors in Williams and delivers lunches to seniors who cannot make it to the Senior Center. The Senior Center has a thrift store which also supports their activities and provides other activities for seniors in Williams.
