Night work scheduled this week on SR 260 east of Cottonwood

adot-logo-03aCOTTONWOOD — Night work is scheduled tomorrow and Wednesday, March 24 and 25, on State Route 260 on a six-mile segment approximately three miles east of Cottonwood between Ogden Ranch Road and Cherry Creek Road (mileposts 209 to 215) between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night.

Crews are gathering soil samples along the roadway in preparation of the widening of State Route 260 between Thousand Trails and I-17. The two-lane roadway will be narrowed to one lane during work hours and drivers will be guided through the work zone with a pilot car and flaggers.

The speed limit through the work zone will be 45 mph and law enforcement will be present.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Utility work scheduled on SR 89A at Willard Street in Cottonwood

Utility work is scheduled on State Route 89A in Cottonwood at Willard Street on Sunday, Feb. 8 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Northbound SR 89A between Willard Street and Calvary Way (mileposts 351 to 352) will be narrowed to one lane to provide a safe work zone for utility crews. Minimal delays expected during work hours.

The work zone will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage.

Lane restrictions on State Route 260 east of Cottonwood for drainage repair

PRESCOTT – Motorists traveling on westbound State Route 260, approximately four miles east of Cottonwood at Wilbur Canyon, need to be aware that crews will begin repairs on embankments along the roadway due to recent erosion at between mileposts 209 to 210.

Work is expected to begin on Monday, Nov. 17 and will require a single lane restriction westbound only for the next three months. Work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The speed limit through the work zones will be reduced to 45 mph during work hours.

The work zone will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage. ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations and to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Pavement work on SR 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde Tuesday night

The Arizona Department of Transportation will perform maintenance work Tuesday night to improve a two-mile section of State Route 260 between Cottonwood and Camp Verde.

SR 260 will be narrowed to one lane between Thousand Trails Road and Coury Drive (mileposts 211 to 212) from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 23.

Flaggers and a pilot car will direct traffic in alternating directions using the single lane that is open. The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph and drivers can expect delays of up to 30 minutes. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

Utility work on State Route 89A in Cottonwood scheduled on Saturday

COTTONWOOD – State Route 89A in Cottonwood at Sixth Street (milepost 352) will be closed at night between 9 and 9:15. on Saturday, April 12, as overhead utility lines are installed across the roadway.

ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations and to proceed through the work zone with caution, comply with the reduced speed limit, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Law enforcement personnel will be present to enforce the closures as they occur.
