WILLIAMS — The annual Grand Opry Night to benefit Habitat for Humanity will be this Friday starting at 6:30 p.m. Music will be by the Williams Opry Band. The event will be at the Williams Rodeo Barn across the street from Old Trails True Value Hardware store on Rodeo Road.
Events include dancing, live and silent Auctions, raffles, door prizes, and cake walk.
Tickets are available at the door are Adults $6.00, Students & Seniors $3.00 or $15 for a Family (4 or more). Hotdogs will be available for $2.50 and Water & Soda for $1.00.
WILLIAMS — The First Baptist Church of Williams is hosting a viewing of the movie Do You Believe this Saturday, September 19 at 5:30. They ask that you RSVP at their office or by signing the sheet at their table in the sanctuary of the Church to ensure enough snacks and drinks. WILLIAMS — The Kiwanis Route 66 Street Market is still open and runs through Labor Day weekend. The Street Market is located on Route 66 on the west end of town across from the Williams Memorial Park. The proceeds from the event benefit the projects of the Kiwanis Club such as the scholarship program.
WILLIAMS — While vacationing in Laughlin, we thought we found the perfect gift for Maggie who manages the Camp Civitan Shop in downtown Williams.
WILLIAMS — Memorial services for Larry Norfolk will be held at the Williams Senior Center on July 28 at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a potluck dish for the services.
WILLIAMS — The Williams Lions Club is looking forward to the Mountain Man Run and fun walk on Labor Day September 7. The run features a 10-k and 5-k run or fun walk along historic Route 66.
WILLIAMS — If Facebook is any gauge, it appears that the historic Route 66 Williams Independence Day parade was a rousing success. Pictures and videos of the parade appeared from Richard Goettel of Phoenix and local resident Brenda Carter. Brenda even caught the Mayor directing traffic.


It would not be a Williams parade without the Bill Williams Mountain Men—official ambassadors of the State of Arizona, the tractors and the classic cars.

It was good to see Bearizona in the parade this year. The were promoting their upcoming Backwoods BBQ July 25.
Save Meant to Rescue had a tremendous float this year. They get our vote for Number 1. They were surrounded by pets rescued by new owners.
