Colorado uses old Republican document to destroy Democracy

COLORADO — The non-elected judges of the Colorado Supreme Court on December 19 used an old Republican document to launch an attack on “democracy.” The State of Colorado—apparently oblivious to the Second Amendment to the Republican document—concentrated on the Fourteenth Amendment to the Republican Constitution to remove Donald Trump from the ballot in the first attack on their own vaunted “democracy.” They also completely ignored Section 5 of this amendment that states, “The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.” The power does not reside with the States.

There has not been one charge of “insurrection” in the mostly peaceful protests of January 6th. All defendants—whose Eighth Amendment rights were violated without protest by Colorado—were charged with misdemeanors and some felonies, but none were charged with insurrection. Nineteen of those were Colorado residents.

In fact, President Donald Trump ordered the National Guard (which is NOT a militia, but people think it is) into Washington and was told to stand down by Nancy Pelosi whom obviously did not consider it an insurrection.

In an AP article by by Nicholas Riccardi, he notes, “Dozens of lawsuits have been filed nationally to disqualify Trump under Section 3, which was designed to keep former Confederates from returning to government after the Civil War. It bars from office anyone who swore an oath to ‘support’ the Constitution and then ‘engaged in insurrection or rebellion’ against it, and has been used only a handful of times since the decade after the Civil War.”

The Fourteenth Amendment was immediately approved by Rinos whom wanted to continually punish the Democrat south after the Civil War. This in direct contrast to President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln wanted healing and was going to issue a blanket pardon for the Rebels.

This event makes it apparent that Colorado is not concerned with supporting even Greek-style Democracy; only Russian or Chinese-style Democracy.

Cory Gardner unseats Udall in Colorado

300cory-gardnerCOLORADO – While you may have heard that the Republicans have taken the Senate, you may not have heard that one of the seats was taken in Colorado. In a surprising victory, Republican Cory Gardner of Colorado upset incumbent Democrat Mark Udall with almost 4% of the vote.

John Hickenlooper retained the office of governor by 1.36%

Colorado group seeks to define unborn as persons

400px-Personhoodcolorado-header4COLORADO – Colorado residents have a chance to redefine prenatal life as a person in their Constitution. The amendment would change the definition of a “person” or “child” to include unborn human being. A group called Personhood Colorado collected 140,000 signatures to get Amendment 67 on the ballot for the November 4 election—53,895 signatures more than required. Previous attempts failed in Colorado in 2008 and 2010.

Amendment 67 is popularly known as The Brady Amendment. The name honors the son of Heather Surovik of Firestone, Colorado. Brady was killed when a drunk driver struck their car on July 5, 2012 while Heather was eight-months pregnant causing a miscarriage. The killing of Brady was not prosecuted because Colorado has no law to do so.

Colorado did pass a law in June of 2013 creating an offense for unlawful temination of a pregnancy with varying degrees. It did not, however, define prenatal life as a person as this amendment would do.

The ballot question reads:

Shall there be an amendment to the Colorado constitution protecting pregnant women and unborn children by defining “person” and “child” in the Colorado criminal code and the Colorado wrongful death act to include unborn human beings?

A rally was held in Denver with both sides of the issue demonstrating for their side.

Keith Mason, president of the pro-life ministry Personhood USA, referred to the Unborn Victims of Violence act signed into law by George Bush in 2004 stating that the federal law never led to bans on abortions or contraceptives.

Nathan Woodliff-Stanley, the executive director of the ACLU of Colorado countered, “Personhood USA are the same people who sponsored ballot amendments that the people of Colorado rejected in 2008 and 2010 — they’re being disingenuous if they say that this isn’t just another attempt to accomplish the same thing.”

The issue is so hotly contested that Republican candidates Mike Coffman and Cory Gardner have both dropped support for the Amendment.

Colorado Republican George Leing who was seeking a seat in the House also distanced himself from the amendment. The Denver Post blog quotes him as saying:

“Just as many Democrats seem unwilling to oppose some of the extreme elements of their party, too many Republicans have succumbed to personhood’ advocates,” Leing said in a news release. “If Republicans, including pro-life Republicans, are to win elections statewide in Colorado, they must stand up to these efforts.”

In an appearance on The Doctors, OB-GYN Jennifer Ashton stated, “Obstetrically the data is crystal-clear, at about 24-weeks, give or take a couple of weeks, that fetus is considered viable—which means it can survive outside the mother.”

Gun owners now will be able to openly carry firearms in El Paso County parks.

The Board of County Commissioners unanimously passed parks rule changes Tuesday during its regular meeing that include tweaking the regulation that had banned open carry. The 4-0 vote came in the absence of Chairman Dennis Hisey, who left the regular meeting shortly after noon.

Hisey said moments before exiting that he was also in favor of the change to the gun rule and was confident that if he had stayed the vote would have remained unanimous. While the rule change allows open carry, it forbids the discharge of guns, fireworks or explosive device in a county park.

Each of the commissioners mentioned their oath to uphold the United States Constitution and the 2nd Amendment, which gives citizens the right to bear arms. Multiple board members also said they did not want to incriminate law-abiding citizens who simply want to defend themselves.

“We don’t get to cherry-pick what provisions of the constitution to support,” said Darryl Glenn, the District 1 representative.

Obama Urges Marijuana Legalization While American Support at an All-time High

obama-weedNEW YORK (MainStreet) — Admitting that he “smoked pot as a kid,” in an interview with the New Yorker magazine published this weekend, President Barack Obama urged the legalization of marijuana.

“I view it as a bad habit and a vice, not very different from the cigarettes that I smoked as a young person up through a big chunk of my adult life,” Obama said. “I don’t think it is more dangerous than alcohol.”

With recreational retail sales of marijuana already allowed in Colorado – and soon in Washington state – public favor for legalization is growing.

In October, a Gallup survey reported a majority of Americans (58%) favored legalization of grass, while more than one-third (38%) admitted having tried it.

“With Americans’ support for legalization quadrupling since 1969, and localities on the East Coast such as Portland, Maine, considering a symbolic referendum to legalize marijuana, it is clear that interest in this drug and these issues will remain elevated in the foreseeable future,” the Gallup report said.

Bicyclist hit by US Forest Service truck to dispute ticket

A bicyclist who was ticketed after he was hit by a US Forest Service pickup Saturday in north Fort Collins said he plans to dispute the citation in court.

Roger Hoover, 51, said he was slowly riding his bike in front of the law-enforcement truck, which was blocking the crosswalk, when it pulled forward and hit him. He was ticketed with leaving a place of safety into the path of a moving vehicle.

“I thought that basically any time somebody runs over a pedestrian with a car, that it’s the car’s fault,” he said. “Apparently not.”

Obamacare too costly for rich Coloradans, Democrat congressman says

By Tori Richards | Watchdog.org

One of President Obama’s most ardent liberal supporters has defected from Obamacare.

Rep. Jared Polis, D-Boulder, told a Colorado health policy think tank that Obamacare premiums will be too expensive for some of the wealthiest addresses in America – ski resorts like Breckenridge and Keystone. He says he’s asking the feds to let them sit out the president’s national health system.

“We will be encouraging a waiver,” Polis told Health Policy Solutions in a story that ran today. “It will be difficult for Summit County residents to become insured. For the vast majority, it’s too high a price to pay.”

The resorts are in Summit County and Aspen is in a neighboring county, which Polis also represents. He has consistently voted in favor of Obamacare.
