Where has all the ammo gone?

For weeks news of massive purchases of ammunition have sparked concerns across the Internet that the government was preparing for possible clashes with American citizens.

Reports are the DHS has ordered a million rounds of ammunition and large amounts of riot gear. It has even been reported that the amount of ammunition has been redacted from official government documents available to the public. The amount of .223 ammunition purchased by the DHS and ICE is over 4-million dollars.

While some might consider the purchase by these law enforcement agencies as nothing extraordinary, even the least cautious might find in curious that the Social Security Administration and the National Weather service is also stocking up on ammunition.

California, at the same time, is considering legislation that would red flag any person purchasing 1000 rounds of ammunition or more.

Private owners are finding it difficult to find ammunition at a reasonable price in the calibers ordered by the government. Charges have been levied by some gun dealers that the State Department has ordered ammunition being shipped into the United States to be held in storage—at the expense of the business ordering the ammunition—for the sole purpose of driving the price of ammunition up.

Concern is also raised over the United Nations small arms treaty still making its way through the consideration process. Reports are that the small arms treaty effectively nullifies the Second Amendment protection and bans virtually all weapons from private ownership. While the Supreme Court has ruled that treaties cannot violate the Constitution of the United States, fears are that the government could proceed to confiscate and destroy weapons until an elongated court battle could be conducted.

Virginia bakery refuses service to Joe Biden

VIRGINIA—A family-owned business in Virgina known as Crumb and Get it politely refused the Secret Service invitation to stop in their bakery for a photo op.

The business owned by Radison Virginia resident Chris MacMurray referred to the “You didn’t build that” comments of Barrack Obama.

“Very simply,” he said in a news interview, “you didn’t build that speaking of small businesses and entrepreneurs all across the country. And, actually, last night, my wife was up all night long—did not sleep. She’s worked a full twenty-four hours.”

Biden went to the River City Grill instead. Some of the customers of Crumb and Get It were disappointed that they did not get to see the Vice-President.

The Obama statement has caused signs like this to spring up across the country.

One blog complains that this business owner is allowing the statement by Obama to be his voice of reason. The socialist web site refers to it as Romney’s “false campaign ad.”

Obama recently said successful business owners “…didn’t build that” in a recent speech which set off a fire storm of anger. During his first campaign tour he informed Joe the Plumber that he wouldn’t build that.

Secret Service agents returned to the bakery to thank MacMurray for saying no and purchased cookies and cupcakes for themselves.

Media blackout on Obama docs baffles Arpaio posse

Detective Michael Zullo is surprised to say the least. He is chief investigator for Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse looking into the authenticity of President Barack Obama’s long-form birth certificate. At a recent press conference, he presented his evidence, which he says points to forgery. He expected the media to follow up with questions about the evidence. What he got was unabashed hostility.

“I really didn’t expect them to come out of the gate attacking us as they did,” Mr. Zullo said.

Nearly a month has passed since a July 17 press conference where Mr. Zullo presented evidence which he says proves that Mr. Obama’s long-form birth certificate is a fraud. “They didn’t pick up on anything. They just don’t want to know about this,” he said. “We presented the most compelling stuff that we know we can prove. That’s the other side of it. We can prove this. This isn’t speculation anymore.”

But Mr. Zullo says the mainstream media have turned to bloggers with names like The Fogbow and Dr. Conspiracy to refute the Arpaio team’s findings. “The media seem to gravitate toward these people as if they are the sound voice in this matter and they are anything but. They will give them special homage as far their technical information, but they will not report on ours with any real accuracy,” he said.

Social Security not deal it once was for workers

WASHINGTON (AP) — People retiring today are part of the first generation of workers who have paid more in Social Security taxes during their careers than they will receive in benefits after they retire. It’s a historic shift that will only get worse for future retirees, according to an analysis by The Associated Press.

Previous generations got a much better bargain, mainly because payroll taxes were very low when Social Security was enacted in the 1930s and remained so for decades.

“For the early generations, it was an incredibly good deal,” said Andrew Biggs, a former deputy Social Security commissioner who is now a scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. “The government gave you free money and getting free money is popular.”

The CFO of a medical supply company that video taped himself bashing a Chick-Fil-A employee in Tuscon got his free cup of water from the restaurant and a pink slip from his employer.

Farmer takes revenge for arrest, drives tractor over top of 7 police cars

Independents can vote August 28th

ARIZONA—Arizona law allows independent and non-partisan voters to vote in the primary election on August 28th. Those registered voters can go into the polls and ask for the ballot for any major party except the Libertarian party which holds closed primaries.

The Primary elections were originally designed for nothing more than to allow the parties to select the person(s) they want to represent their party for a political office. It was designed to trim a host of candidates down to sufficient numbers for each office in the November election. This gives a choice of candidates from each party.

Recently some have been promoting “Open Primaries” which limits the choice of candidates for each office to the top two vote getters in the primary whether they be both Republican, Democrat or whatever. The Open Primary initiative would actually limit your choice in the November election.

Court Upholds Domestic Drone Use in Arrest of American Citizen

A North Dakota court has preliminarily upheld the first-ever use of an unmanned drone to assist in the arrest of an American citizen.

A judge denied a request to dismiss charges Wednesday against Rodney Brossart, a man arrested last year after a 16-hour standoff with police at his Lakota, N.D., ranch. Brossart’s lawyer argued that law enforcement’s “warrantless use of [an] unmanned military-like surveillance aircraft” and “outrageous governmental conduct” warranted dismissal of the case, according to court documents obtained by U.S. News.

Do you want to know why it seems like good jobs are very rare in the United States today? It is because good jobs are very rare in the United States today. According to a paper that was just released by the Center for Economic and Policy Research, only 24.6 percent of all American jobs qualified as “good jobs” in 2010. Over the past several decades, there has been increasing pressure on corporations to reduce expenses and increase corporate profits. One of the biggest expenses that any corporation faces is labor. Large corporations all over the globe are in an endless race to gain a competitive advantage by pushing labor costs as low as possible. Sometimes this is done by using technology. Computers, automation, robotics and other forms of technology have eliminated millions of jobs in the United States and those jobs are never coming back. Millions of other jobs have been eliminated by offshoring. In our globalized economy, American workers have been merged into one giant labor pool with everyone else. That makes it very tempting for big corporations to move jobs from areas where workers are very expensive (such as the United States) to areas of the world where it is legal to pay slave labor wages. When big corporations do this, corporate profits go up, but the number of good jobs in the United States goes down. As a result, there is increased competition for the jobs that remain in the United States and this drives down wages. Meanwhile, the cost of living just keeps going up. So millions of American families have fallen into poverty in recent years, and millions of others have gone deep into debt in an attempt to survive. This dynamic is absolutely shredding the middle class in the United States.

Cybersecurity bill amendment craze

Frank Lautenberg (C-N.J.) has refused to pull his gun ban amendment from the Cybersecurity bill now being processed in the Senate. Utah Republican Mike Lee followed up with an amendment to make abortion illegal after 20-weeks of pregnacy. That would ban the tool that commits more mass murder in the United States each year than guns.

Given his stance on Chick-fil-A, would Mayor Tom Menino grant permits to a group that has counted among its leaders a man who has repeatedly called homosexuality a “crime that must be punished” by death?

Actually, he has done that  . . . and more! Menino effectively gave away city land valued at $1.8 million to the organization, and he gave a speech at its ribbon-cutting ceremony.

It’s the Islamic Society of Boston’s mosque, and when it comes to anti-gay sentiment, one of its early supporters makes Chick-fil-A look like the Provincetown Men’s Chorus.

Rationing Begins: States Limiting Drug Prescriptions for Medicaid Patients

(CNSNews.com) – Sixteen states have set a limit on the number of prescription drugs they will cover for Medicaid patients, according to Kaiser Health News.

Seven of those states, according to Kaiser Health News, have enacted or tightened those limits in just the last two years.

Medicaid is a federal program that is carried out in partnership with state governments. It forms an important element of President Barack Obama’s health-care plan because under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act–AKA Obamcare–a larger number of people will be covered by Medicaid, as the income cap is raised for the program.

With both the expanded Medicaid program and the federal subsidy for health-care premiums that will be available to people earning up to 400 percent of the poverty level, a larger percentage of the population will be wholly or partially dependent on the government for their health care under Obamacare than are now.

Holder Orders Family: Give Up Your Religion or Your Business

(CNSNews.com) – The Justice Department last week presented the Newland family of Colorado–who own Hercules Industries, a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning business–with what amounted to an ultimatum: Give up your religion or your business.

“Hercules Industries has ‘made no showing of a religious belief which requires that [it] engage in the [HVAC] business,” the Justice Department said in a formal filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

In response to the Justice Department’s argument that the Newlands can either give up practicing their religion or give up owning their business, the Alliance Defending Freedom, which is representing the family, said in a reply brief: “[T]o the extent the government is arguing that its mandate does not really burden the Newlands because they are free to abandon their jobs, their livelihoods, and their property so that others can take over Hercules and comply, this expulsion from business would be an extreme form of government burden.”
